Spoilers, friend. Spoilers all over the place. Now's your chance to run.
So a couple data points have pretty much guaranteed that Zack Snyder's November 2017 tentpole Justice League (the first of a two-parter) will in fact feature...
...Superman, who died at the end of Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. First, actor Henry Cavill posted an Instagram pic of himself working out, captioned "1st week of training done. 7 days, 9 workouts and a whole lot of food! #Superman #JusticeLeague #SupermanTraining." Then, a CinemaCon set video showed Cavill (not in costume, but still) hanging with his fellow heroes.
"It’s true that it’s possible that Cavill is actually playing a corpse for most of the 2017 blockbuster," writes Cinema Blend, which was at the event, "but the recorded evidence definitely seems to suggest that Superman will quickly be back amongst the living."
Kinda sucks. Superman dying was the kind of bold choice that somewhat redeemed the very messy Batman v Superman. Listen to the Back of the Class podcast break the movie down in-depth at the 25:25 mark in the episode below:
