Cesar Chavez actor Michael Peña and Orange Is the New Black's Uzo Aduba might lend a hand to the voice cast of the forthcoming My Little Pony movie. The Hollywood Reporter notes that the duo are currently in talks to voice the animated feature's adorable equines.
The My Little Pony movie is the grotesquely cute brainchild of Jayson Theissen, who served as supervising director on the show's reboot, My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic. Theissen will direct the newest incarnation of the franchise, which so far promises to include six actors from the current show—Tara Strong, Cathy Weseluck, Andrea Libman, Tabitha St. Germain, Ashleigh Ball will star as the doe-eyed horses who like to frolic on rainbows. Kristin Chenoweth, of West Wing fame, will play a new character who probably bears a name similar to egregiously cuddly characters like Twilight Sparkle, Rainbow Dash and Pinkie-Pie. Meghan McCarthy, who has penned My Little Pony TV scripts, also penned the movie's screenplay.
As noted earlier, the film will release in November of next year. In the meantime, remember that friendship IS magic, so be nice to each other.
