Showtime has announced the full cast list for the reboot of David Lynch's murder mystery cult classic, Twin Peaks, and it features tons and tons of silver screen legends along with some huge musical surprises.

In addition to David Duchovny, Amanda Seyfried, Michael Cera, Jennifer Jason Leigh, Jay R. Ferguson, Laura Dern (who starred in Lynch's Blue Velvet), Harry Dean Stanton (who's a favorite actor of Lynch's) and more, the 2017 edition of Twin Peaks will feature Trent Reznor, his wife, Mariqueen, Eddie VedderSky Ferreira and Sharon Van Etten on screen.

The television drama made its network debut in 1990, and Kyle MacLachlan is set to reprise his role as cherry pie-loving, coffee-swilling Special Agent Dale Cooper. According to the new casting announcement, Peggy Lipton will presumably be returning as Norma Jennings, as will Dana Ashbrook as Bobby Briggs.

Whether or not Reznor, Vedder et al will take their musical prowess to the sinister, woody landscape of Twin Peaks remains to be seen, but it's great to see Reznor and Lynch back at it. Lynch and Reznor collaborated on Lost Highway, the director's first major motion picture following the conclusion of Twin Peaks. This serves as a reunion for Vedder and Lynch, too, as the renowned director interviewed the Pearl Jam frontman for the Cameron Crowe-directed documentary about the grunge gods, Pearl Jam Twenty.
