Avenged Sevenfold, Korn, Slipknot, Disturbed and a laundry list of heavy bands are descending upon Champions Park near downtown Louisville, Kentucky on October 1 and 2 for the third annual Louder Than Life Festival, it was announced Tuesday (May 31).
There will be metal, yes, but there will also be a healthy dose of gastronomy involved, especially for fans of bourbon and craft beer.
As per a statement from festival founder and producer Danny Wimmer, you will come for the angry music, but stay for the local fair:
Louisville: The home of bourbon. Great people. Great food. How can those ingredients not make a perfect place to have a festival? This is a place you have to visit if you’re a lover of bourbon, a lover of food…a lover of life. I asked my team how we could top last year’s Louder Than Life sellout. The easy answer? Slipknot and Avenged Sevenfold."
