Beyoncé visual album Lemonade has reached the No. 1 spot of the Billboard 200 chart, tallying for her sixth number one release.
Since its April 23 debut as a special on HBO, Lemonade has earned 653,000 equivalent album units with pure album sales making up 485,000 of the total, reported Billboard. The numbers are also including the brief period the album was a Tidal exclusive. Not only does Lemonade mark Beyonce’s sixth No. 1 album, but Beyonce has become the first artist to continuously top the Billboard 200 with her first six albums.
Prince is rounding out the top ten of the chart with five of his albums. The surge is brought by the many fans who have revisited his albums since his passing. The Very Best of Prince is dropped down to the runner-up position, with Purple Rain following at no. 3, followed by two other greatest hits albums and 1999.
