In an interview with The New York Times published Wednesday (May 11), the multi-hyphenated talent explained his sheepish nature around Bey, and why he's gotten all skittish around her during the singer's Formation world tour, for which he's serving as the opening act.
After being asked if he ever talks to Beyoncé while on tour, Khaled told the Times:
"I’m very quiet. Every time I’ve ever seen her is when I’m with my brother Jay Z, and I just say, 'Hi,' and I look the other way so fast, and I kind of run. I just don’t want to say nothing too much. I’m not messing that up."
Also glossed over in the Q&A is Khaled's love for gardening and applying cocoa butter to his large and "iconic" belly. The producer says he has a favorite flower, although he can't quite remember its name. He nonetheless waters his garden dutifully: "When you show the flowers love, you see the love," he says.
