Justin Timberlake is primed to release a new song this Friday (May 6), after dropping hints over the last couple months that a follow-up to 2013's The 20/20 Experience, or at least new music, was in the works.
Via The Fader, we learn that the multi-talent performer took to Twitter on Wednesday (May 4), alerting fans to the arrival of a new song, which he said is slated to drop in just "2 more days."
In March, Timberlake notified fans via Instagram that he'd been in the studio with Pharrell, signaling a return to the working relationship that fostered his 2002 debut, Justified. At the time, Complex indicated that the pair might be working on film music for the upcoming Dreamworks Animation title, Trolls. In April, however, Timberlake discussed the recording process, and how he's currently involved with making new music with both Pharrell and Tyler the Creator.
Timberlake's return to the limelight will mark his first release since 2013's The 20/20 Experience, which included gems such as "Mirrors" and "Suit & Tie."
