Being the unpredictable artist that he is, Kanye West decided to drop a major announcement during a surprise call on The Steve Harvey Morning Show. Fresh off the 2016 Met Gala red carpet, the rapper brought it back to the music on Tuesday (May 3) and revealed he's likely going on tour this fall.
“You know my tour game is strong. We gone go out in September, I believe. We’re working on ideas right now. But as I said before, I’m literally trying to inspire these kids the way Disney inspired me," he stated. The news comes after Yeezy tweeted he was working on tour designs last month.
The 20-minute-long interview also gave additional gems like the creation of "Ultralight Beam" (it is supposedly the next The Life of Pablo single), Wiz Khalifa controversy and scoring unexpectedly high grades in school during his stay in China for a year with his mother:
“That let me know I had been being taught at a level that I wasn’t reaching my full potential. I wasn’t thinking thinking to my maximum potential. I wasn’t being allowed to think to my maximum potential. That’s kind of been the story ever since, anytime y’all every heard me scream or jump up and down it was because i wanted to bring people something to a higher potential than what the powers that control the money, the image, media and perception wanted me to.”
