KFC Gets Into the Cosmetic Business With Edible Nail Polish

It's finger-lickin' good. In the most literal sense.

Iconic fried chicken chain KFC is taking that inevitable next step into the cosmetics world. In Hong Kong, the chicken brand is offering edible fingernail polish in two flavor options: Original, and Hot and Spicy—just like when you order a $5 Fill Up or a Famous Bowl.

Ogilvy & Mather Group, the marketing and communications team in Hong Kong that is running the campaign, told The New York Times that the campaign is a way "to remind the younger generation of the great taste and good times the brand stands for."

Ogilvy & Mather added that there are plans to have the polish mass produced and it could be available in the second half of the year. Meanwhile, local Hong Kong KFCs are asking customers which flavor they'd prefer. (And, no, "Neither" is an option.)
