In an interview with Deadline, Kevin Feige of Marvel Studios talks about all things regarding the many upcoming films that the film studio has on its mind.

While the next 10 films that Marvel Studios undertakes has already been announced, Feige does admit that of the characters featured in the other blockbuster movies from the Marvel universe, the one most likely to receive a solo movie project would be Black Widow. Feige said, “Of the characters that you’ve just mentioned I would say certainly the one creatively and emotionally we are most committing to doing is Black Widow.”

As for the reasoning, Feige added:

“We think she’s an amazing character. We think Scarlett Johansson’s portrayal of her is amazing. She’s a lead Avenger and has amazing stories in her own right to tell that we think would be fun to turn into a stand-alone franchise.”
