Mega Man, one of the more major video game franchises and a childhood favorite for many, now plans to hit your television screens! According to Deadline, Dentsu Entertainment USA and DHX Media (Teletubbies, Yo Gabba Gabba!, Degrassi) have a deal in the works that will "develop, co-produce, distribute and jointly manage licensing for the new Mega Man animated series."
The show, which will be based on the video games, is set to be executively produced by Man of Action Entertainment (Ben 10, Generator Rex, Big Hero 6). Japanese company Dentsu Inc. will manage distribution and licensing in Asia, with DHX doing the same in all other territories.
Mega Man was first launched by Capcom in 1987, and went to have over 100 games in its franchise. Look out for its accompanying series in 2017, which will go along with the game's 30th anniversary.
