Meteorologist Liberté Chan Told to Cover Up Her Dress on Live TV: Watch

Over the weekend, an early morning news broadcast displayed its misogynistic ways with a weather forecast that was more shameful than sunny.

KTLA meteorologist Liberte Chan decided to rock a sparkling little black dress for her weather report, but was soon forced to cover up by news anchor Chris Burrous.

Chan looked completely appropriate for work, but apparently Los Angeles viewers didn't feel the same way. A drab gray sweater can be seen hanging off to the side in the video above, with Burrous telling his co-worker, "We're getting a lot of emails."

A shocked Chan is shown putting on the sweater to cover up her bare shoulders while she exclaimed, “What’s going on? You want me to put this on? Why? Because it’s cold?” before stating that she now resembles a librarian.

Burrous was soon accused of body shaming on social media. He cleared the air by explaining that he was simply joking with his co-worker: "I completely understand meant in jest but I see how it seemed. I am sorry. I hope you will give me another chance."
