In concert Friday night at New York City’s Madison Square Garden, Billy Joel delivered a rare surprise.
Joel dedicated the night to the victims and family members of those affected by the Orlando shooting this past Sunday. To honor their memory, he devoted his performance of “You’re Only Human” to their memory. "We're gonna do a song I haven't done in, I don't know, 25 years or something,” Joel said introducing the song. “We may screw this up, but at least you know we're not on tape.” Watch footage of the performance above (via Rolling Stone).
“We're no strangers to terrorism and mayhem and grief, maybe here in New York more than any other city in America,” Joel added.
