Blink-182's comeback album, California, drops this Friday, but the guys already have a reason to celebrate.

"Bored to Death," the lead single from the upcoming full-length, just hit No. 1 on the Billboard Alternative Songs Chart. It's the first time Blink has done this in 12 years; their last No. 1 was "I Miss You," from the band's eponymous fifth studio album. That was in 2004.

It's impressive for another reason, too: as Billboard notes, "Bored to Death" marks the second-longest span in between No. 1 hits in the chart’s history. Blink is right behind Jane's Addiction for that distinction.

Crazy stuff, right? Looks like the guys are doing A-OK with Alkaline Trio's Matt Skiba on guitar, who replaced founding member Tom DeLonge last year.
