Desiigner's musical catalog is smaller than a newborn panda's paw. The 19-year-old Bed-Stuy kid's got this one track, "Zombie Walk," that came right before his No. 1 hit "Panda." He's on three songs with Kanye West (one of which just samples "Panda"). He's on a few other 2016 tracks. That's it.
So how's he gonna follow up "Panda," which dropped last December and both peaked at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 and got its Kanye-featuring music video six weeks ago? A handful of folks got an idea on Wednesday night, when Tidal hosted an NYC listening party for New English, Desiigner's newly revealed mixtape. (He recently announced that his debut album's called The Life of Desiigner.) The sounds included an unsurprisingly yet still brazenly Future-ish track:

Definitely sounds like Desiigner's sticking in the hard-hitting trap zone...until you watch his XXL Freshman List "freestyle," which couldn't be further from "Panda":
