Album Premiere: Stream Pkew Pkew Pkew's Self-Titled Punk Opus
At any given moment, Southern Ontario punks Pkew Pkew Pkew are probably having more fun than the rest of us. Their origins are as humble as they are hilarious: Frontman Mike Warne posted a Craigslist ad to find bandmates. Only one person responded, guitarist Ryan McKinley, who spent most of his time those days playing in a TV theme song cover band (like, Pokémon and such). Eventually, a punk band was born.
They released an album in 2013, the delightfully delinquent Glory Days, and today we're totally stoked to share with you the band's self-titled sophomore LP.
There are so many riffs on this bad boy, Diarrhea Planet might have some competition. (We're sure their live show rivals the Nashville band's folklore-worthy performance style, too.) Pkew Pkew Pkew will hit the road with fellow Canadian punks PUP this summer. Check out the details below, and for the love of all that is holy, press play below. Rock and roll ain't dead, it's just drunk.
