Final Fantasy VII is primed for an unlikely makeover: Entertainment Weekly reports that you'll soon get to play the game as Aeris, Sephiroth and Cloud—albeit as a board game—when Final Fantasy VII Monopoly releases on April 14, 2017.
It might not be what gamers had in mind—especially after a Final Fantasy VII remake for PS4 was announced late last year—but it will feature locations, characters, and items from the seventh installment of the franchise, just on a Monopoly board.
“Delve into the evolving city of Midgar in search of the latest business opportunities,” says the description at online retailer Merchoid, where pre-orders of the game are available. “Perhaps you’ll buy up a string of plots for housing development for the people, or go industrial and build a Mako reactor plant.”
Final Fantasy VII Monopoly should provide an ideal teaser before the remake releases in PS4's digital store this October, blasting everyone straight back to 1997.
