'Hamilton' Cleans House at 2016 Tony Awards: Read the Full Winners List

The 70th annual Tony Awards went down splendidly on Sunday night, with Late Late Show host and Into the Woods star James Corden hitting his MC gig out of the park. Hamilton, of course, cleaned house, winning 11 of its 16 potential trophies. Other multiple winners included The Humans (with four), Long Day's Journey Into Night (two) and A View from the Bridge (also two).

Much was made of the nominees'—and, by extension, modern-day Broadway's—remarkable diversity, with particular shout-outs to the Tonys being the inverse of the blindingly white Academy Awards. (#oscarssowhite, if you don't recall.) Vulture notes that black actors collected more awards at the 2016 Tonys than black actors have at the Oscars in the last nine years. Daveed Diggs, Renée Elise Goldsberry, Leslie Odom, Jr. (all three of Hamilton) and Cynthia Erivo (The Color Purple) also collectively made history, with black actors sweeping the musical performance categories for the first time since the inaugural Tony Awards in 1947.
