Jay Leno got in quite an accident on the latest episode of his TV show Jay Leno’s Garage.
The former Tonight Show host gets in the passenger seat of the Hurst 2500 HP Hurst Hemi Under Glass with its driver Bob Riggle. “When I was a kid, one of my heroes was a guy named Bob Riggle because he had a car that could do something nobody else’s car could do,” Leno recounts. Riggle, now 80 years old, explains how the car’s design allows for it to stand on its two back wheels.
After the unexpected crash, the two get out of the car unscathed. The car, however, is pretty damaged—Riggle says that it will need a new body. Leno does look a little shaken, with his producer asking if he’s alright. “I do stuff like this every week, that’s why I have so many cars,” he jokes.
Jay Leno’s Garage airs on Wednesdays at 10 p.m. ET on CNBC.
