Lin-Manuel Miranda's Hamilton is one of the biggest musicals on Broadway at the moment, so it was only a matter of time when the actor/composer made a guest appearance on everyone's favorite late-night TV segment—James Corden's Carpool Karaoke!
The Late Late Show host will host the Tony Awards at NYC's Beacon Theater on June 12. So to prep for the big gig, Corden (along with Miranda, Shuffle Along's Audra McDonald, Fully Committed's Jesse Tyler Ferguson and She Loves Me's Jane Krakowski) packed themselves in a car as they headed to the venue.
Miranda was the first to appear, with he and Corden rapping their way through Hamilton's “Guns and Ships." They were soon joined by the rest of the Broadway crew, as they sung classic show tunes like Jersey Boys' "Can’t Take My Eyes Off of You” and Les Miserables' "One Day More."
But they all got very deep in their emotions once Corden switched on Rent's "Seasons of Love," which fueled a sea of adorable "awws." After reveling in the latest Carpool Karaoke above, listen to an episode of Fuse's Back of the Class podcast where we discuss the Hamilton mixtape (at the 6:40 mark):
