New & Old 'Ghostbusters' Casts Dance to Theme Song, Bill Murray Praises Reboot

The new Ghostbusters and the old Ghostbusters came together on Wednesday for a big night at Jimmy Kimmel Live! Before we get into any interview action, any newsy tidbits, any commentary on the hordes of foolish "but there can't be female Ghostbusters!!" keyboard warriors, let's just watch everyone get down to the classic theme song. The lovable Ray Parker Jr. really knows how to bring that bad boy to life, still.

Next, let's rewind and watch old school cast members Bill Murray, Dan Aykroyd, Ernie Hudson and Annie Potts surprise your 2016 reboot stars, Melissa McCarthy, Leslie Jones, Kristen Wiig and Kate McKinnon:

Now, if you can ignore for a second how obnoxious it is that Melissa McCarthy & Co. are still being forced to respond to sexist haters who've decided what's what even though the movie's not out till July 15, watch McCarthy explain exactly who these scrubs are:

We'll hit you with one more clip before sending you Kimmel's way to see the other 50: Bill Murray said he and the original cast watched the new Ghosbusters and found themselves "just screaming, cheering like we were at a sporting event at the end of it." Bye, haters!
