As reported by Billboard, the Wu-Tang Clan jack-of-all-trades has a special album in the works that is inspired by the music that soundtracks Atari video games.

Believe it or not, this will be RZA’s second creative partnership with Atari. The Brooklyn rapper lent his voice for the video game Marc Eckō’s Getting Up: Contents Under Pressure. In a statement given to Billboard, RZA wrote:

“I’m so excited to work on these iconic games to deliver what I believe will be one of my best albums. I am going to invite some of my friends to join me and it will be Game On with the first beat.”

RZA will team up with Stephen Belafonte and the chief executive officer of Atari, Fred Chesnais, to handle the production. Chesnais also commented, “We are thrilled to partner with RZA, one of the greatest hip-hop producers of all time.” More info on the forthcoming project will be revealed later.
