Don't worry guys, Suicide Squad is not going to be super short.

On Friday, Flixter reported that Suicide Squad, directed by David Ayer, will run for one hour and forty minutes. On Twitter, Ayer discredited the revealed runtime, writing that it was "not true." He also shared that the final mix of the film is completed and that there is "nothing like it out there."

As Comic Book Resources points out, if the runtime was at 100 minutes, it would be the shortest film in DC Comics movie history. In comparison to Batman v Superman released earlier this year, Suicide Squad would be 59 minutes shorter. Man of Steel ran at 2 hours and 23 minutes—that’s 43 minutes less than the projected runtime for the anticipated film.

Suicide Squad appears in theaters August 5. Will Smith, Margot Robbie, and Jared Leto are among the featured cast. Both Lil Wayne and Twenty One Pilots have released music video, which includes movie footage, for their contributions to the film’s soundtrack (check them out here and here).
