One wedding celebration became a little more special with Taylor Swift.
As reported by People, the pop star was invited to the marriage of longtime fans Max Singer and Kenya Smith. Swift shared photos of the happy occasion on her Instagram, congratulating the couple. While there, Swift also performed “Blank Space,” an odd song choice for a matrimonial event, but she played a pared-down rendition of her single. Footage can be found below.
There’s a touching backstory to Swift’s invitation. According to People, the groom’s sister Ali reached out to Swift about the death of their mother, relating in a letter how her brother married his wife in a hospital so that his mother would be able to witness. Swift gifted the newlyweds a card that read “So it’s gonna be forever.”
