Watch The Killers Debut a Gentle New Song Live

The Killers have been missing on the studio album front for nearly four years now, so any new music is worthy of holiday status. At a show in Ontario, Canada on Thursday night, frontman Brandon Flowers took to the piano for one helluva new ballad.

Watch the performance above, which originally showed up on the Tumblr canitbethewayitwas (hat-tip to NME). Flowers sings, "Have all your dreams been followed? / Have all your dreams been met? / Have all these years been worth it? / Am I the great regret?"

The band also covered Interpol's 2002 tune "Obstacle 1":

The Killers will headline New York City's Governors Ball on Saturday night, so it wouldn't be crazy to get your hopes up for new clips of fresh music from the follow-up to Battle Born. Back in February, Elton John confirmed that he's working on the record.
