Musicians on Twitter React to Orlando Night Club Shooting

After a massacre at Orlando LGBTQ nightclub Pulse left at least 50 dead and 53 injured early Sunday, the United States is in mourning. The suspect—who was killed during a confrontation with a Swat team—has been identified as Omar Mateen, a 29-year-old who lived in Port St. Lucie, Florida. 

Musicians, political leaders and the general public have aired different reactions to what's now being called the worst mass shooting in American history. Here is what some of the industry's most prominent musicians are saying about the incident on Twitter: 

Law enforcement agencies at state and federal levels are conducting investigations into Mateen's possible motives. Recent reports claim that the shooter made a 911 call before the attack, and swore allegiance to the Islamic State terror group before entering the nightclub.
