Dr. Dre Searched by Police Following Alleged Road Rage (Updated)

Update (7/26, 3 p.m.): The L.A. Times reports:

"Deputies found no evidence that Dre had pointed a gun at the man, nor did they recover a weapon, officials said. Dre told deputies the man was blocking his driveway and denied making threats, officials said. "

Original story (7/25, 10 p.m.): According to TMZDr. Dre was searched and handcuffed following an encounter outside his home in Malibu. 

TMZ reported that a motorist stopped in front of Dre’s house, after which there was a confrontation between the two. Dr. Dre pulled into his driveway and asked the man to leave which then provoked the man to allegedly insult the producer. TMZ sources detail that the man said, “Here we go again, another black guy with a gun.” The man then proceeded to call 911 to say that a gun had been pulled on him.

When officers arrive, they cuffed Dr. Dre and searched him. No gun was found on him so he was released. Watch footage of the run-in below.
