The inaugural Lil Weezyana Fest, held last summer in Lil Wayne's native New Orleans, reunited the Hot Boy and was a complete smash. This year's sequel, just announced on Weezy's Twitter, will feature ColleGrove, the duo moniker Tunechi and 2 Chainz have been going by since their collaborative album of the same name. (They're also headlining Made in America 2016 as ColleGrove.)
No other artists have been announced yet. Drake made an appearance last year.
Lil Weezyana Fest 2016 will return to Champions Square on Aug. 27. Tickets are on sale this Friday, July 15, at 10 a.m. Upon announcing the inaugural edition last summer (with a cartoonish poster in the same vein as this year's), Wayne said:
“I’m coming home to give my city a real show for all its support, and I’m bringing some of my good friends in the industry. Please come out, enjoy yourself, lose your mind. I will find it for you later, and return it back.”
On Monday, TMZ reported that the 33-year-old rapper suffered a "severe seizure" last week. Weezy refuted the story with a tweet claiming "I'm good!!!"
