Pokémon GO has existed in our lives for less than a week, but it is already a bigger deal on Android phones than one of the most popular dating apps in America.
According to new data from SimilarWeb (via Business Insider), Pokémon GO was added to 5.16 percent of all U.S. Android devices by last Friday, just two days after the app’s release. That’s already well over the 2 percent of Android users with Tinder in the U.S.
As of last Friday, Pokémon GO was already close to surpassing Twitter on Android smartphones…and judging by the rapid rate at which has game has caught on, it may already have done so. Quick reminder that Twitter has millions of users and came out a decade ago. Pokémon Go was not a thing this time last week!
Meanwhile, Nintendo’s stock surged more than 30 percent in a single day, marking its best single-day market jump since the freaking 1980s.
