Sia and Pusha T are getting into the 2016 Summer Olympics spirit, as the two have paired up for the "Unstoppable" remix. The original track (found on Sia's This is Acting album) was already anthemic, but it taken to worldly heights thanks to Ariel Rechtshaid.
The producer (who has worked with Carly Rae Jepsen, Haim and Charli XCX) adds strings and percussion from Afro-Brazilian marching band Olodum, making it a Rio de Janeiro-themed bop. Pusha's motivational bars ("Way more than physical, this is soul searching / The pain from the pressure to perform equals purpose") come through towards the end.
Rechtshaid tells Billboard, which premiered the track,
“I’ve been a fan of [Olodum] ever since I was listening to my parents’ Paul Simon records. Sia, who’s a friend of mine, and then Pusha T came in towards the end because the song felt like it could use his edge and a verse on it.”
The "Unstoppable" remix is a part of Gillette’s “Perfect Isn’t Pretty” Summer Olympics campaign. The games kick off in Rio on Aug. 5. While we wait, watch Pusha T do some "Sole Searching" below:
