While in an airport in Belarus, the Red Hot Chili Peppers were mistaken for Metallica by the airport’s custom officers.

“We were called into customs officials office at an airport in Belarus and they asked us to sign a bunch of Metallica cd's and photos,” band member Flea wrote on Instagram. Funnily enough, Flea inducted the heavy metal band into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame back in 2009. Even after RHCP tried to clear up that they were not Metallica, they were still asked to sign Metallica memorabilia. “We tried to explain to them that we weren't Metallica but they insisted that we sign anyway,” Flea added. Find Flea’s Instagram photo of the event below.

Red Hot Chili Peppers are currently on tour hitting summer festivals. On Saturday, they were at Park Live Festival in Moscow, Russia, and from there the band was heading to T in the Park for their Sunday performance. RHCP also recently released their eleventh studio album, The Getaway, which you can listen to here
