How Fuse’s 'Rep Your City' Works & How Your Favorite Can Win

Hip-hop music does not belong to one person, place or thing; it belongs to all of us. Yet it’s impossible to overlook the influence of certain parts of the country within the ever-changing sounds and styles. For decades, Brooklyn, Atlanta and the D.C./Maryland/Virginia areas have given birth to some of the most unique artists and inspirational stories within hip-hop, expanding and altering the very fabric of the culture. And while each location is deeply important, we were wondering: When it comes to hip-hop, which of these areas unquestionably rules the east coast—and who defines their city more clearly than any other artist?

With those questions in mind, Fuse is proud to present Rep Your City, where we let you vote for your favorite hip-hop artists from Brooklyn, Atlanta and the DMV in order to determine which MC, and city, are the most iconic. Vote in our poll for three rounds for your favorite artist from each east coast area, and then sound off on which of the three top artists rules them all.
