It’s official: Britney Spears is returning to the MTV VMAs stage, two days after her new album drops.
The pop star confirmed the 2016 MTV Video Music Awards performance on Twitter on Tuesday. Amazingly, this marks Britney’s first VMAs performance in nine years, following unforgettable performances of hits like “Oops! I Did It Again” and “I’m A Slave 4 U” (and one iconic lip lock with Madonna).
Spears’ new album, Glory, is due out Aug. 26. The album has been preceded by the single “Make Me…,” featuring G-Eazy.
