Warner Bros.' upcoming The Flash movie just got even more exciting, as a big character from the DC comic world is set to join the project. According to Variety, Cyborg is confirmed to appear in the superhero film, but it's not certain how major his role will be.

Ray Fisher, a newcomer in the Hollywood industry, will reprise his role as the half-man/half-machine after making a cameo as the character in March's Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. He will also play Cyborg/Victor Stone in next year's Justice League.

If successful, the new role can potentially lead to a standalone Cyborg film in 2020, Variety reports. After Ezra Miller's appearance as The Flash in August's Suicide Squad, his solo film (directed by Rick Famuyiwa) will hit theaters March 16, 2018.

The DC comic universe will continue to take over the box office with 2017's Justice League: Part One and Wonder Woman. There is also speculation that a Man of Steel sequel is in the works. But before we get ahead of ourselves, check out these dope cosplayers at New York Comic-Con below:
