Update (8/26 at 10:45am): Drake revealed on Instagram that his Please Forgive Me short film will premiere on Sept. 30. It will feature a score by Noah "40" Shebib, so it'll most likely songs from Views. It is also co-directed by Anthony Mandler, who has frequently worked with the likes of Rihanna, Justin Bieber, Beyoncé, Jay Z and Lana Del Rey.
Original Story (8/15 at 11:30am): Drake has stepped up his visual game ever since 2013's Nothing Was the Same, and his upcoming project could be his most promising to date. The Toronto guy teased a short film titled "Please Forgive Me" on Instagram, which he says will feature music from Views.
The first teaser photo features two mysterious women rocking sunglasses, while the other focuses on the mouth of a full-lipped girl who has tattooed fingers and black stiletto nails. Save for "Hotline Bling" (which doesn't really count since it arrived way before Views), Drake hasn't dropped any official videos for the five singles off the album.
So the project could possibly feature "Controlla," "Too Good," "One Dance" and "Pop Style." Drizzy was reportedly shooting the videos for "One Dance" in South Africa and "Child's Play" in Houston over the summer. The announcement follows last year's "Jungle" short film, which arrived right before If You're Reading This It's Too Late.
Drake hasn't shared the "Please Forgive Me" release date yet, which means it will be coming any day now. To get your anticipation going, check out a playlist of Drake's best deep cuts and watch the final episode of Fuse's The Drake Effect below:
