Green Day Teases 'Bang Bang,' First Single in Four Years

The long-awaited follow up to Green Day's 2012's trio of LPs, ¡Uno!¡Dos! and ¡Tre!, might finally be on the horizon. Bille Joe Armstrong shared an Instagram post on Monday morning, revealing that a new single called "Bang Bang" is due out Aug. 11.

We last heard from the Bay Area punk legends four months ago, when Armstrong shared a video of drummer Cool goofing off with some instruments and being silly in the studio, which just might be a direct hint at a new studio album. Since then, Armstrong teamed with members of the punk band Jawbreaker for the supergroup California, which released an album in April.
