Jimmy Eat World are ready to take on the rock world this fall (without the help of Taylor Swift this time), as the band just dropped a new track. Titled "Get Right," it is the lead single from their forthcoming and as-yet-untitled album. The follow-up to 2013's Damage will be released on Oct. 21.
As for "Get Right"? It may be relatively short (the song clocks in at just under three minutes), but it makes up for the length with an aggressive, slightly menacing vibe. "I'm, I'm destination addicted / I just gotta be some place else / Never good time, never feel the space to get it right," frontman Jim Adkins darkly muses on the chorus.
The announcement of Jimmy Eat World's next album comes a few months after Taylor Swift lip synced to their hit song "The Middle" for an Apple Music ad. Due to the singer's popularity, the track made its way back to the iTunes Top Songs Chart.
