John Lydon Attacked by Glass Bottle on Stage, Finishes Show Bleeding: Watch

He may not be Johnny Rotten anymore, but John Lydon is still punk as hell.

During a Santiago, Chile concert for Public Image Ltd., the band's frontman was attacked by a fan who threw a glass bottle. It cut the 60-year-old deeply enough to make him bleed profusely, but it didn't deter the singer.

Instead, he called the bottlethrower a "fucking coward," wrapped a towel around his head and continued with his performance despite blood dripping down his face.

Hours later, Lydon updated his Facebook page with a photo that showed him bloody, but smiling with a ciggarette. He captioned the photo with: "Glass attack last night at Santiago, Club Blondie in Chile. No reflection on the rest of the crowd. Great gig. It lives. Anyone got any more pictures?"

"Great gig?" Punk as hell, indeed.

Watch below as Lydon explains how he avoided the pitfulls of alcoholism and drug addiction:
