M.I.A. and Diplo have buried the hatchet and are making music together, the British-Sri Lankan singer announced on Monday. The forthcoming single will feature on M.I.A.'s forthcoming album AIM, which she announced earlier this month.

Fact Mag notes that the song is called "Birds," although M.I.A.'s Twitter calls it "Bird Song." In any case, Diplo is credited is a producer on the track, which will release August 12:

M.I.A. and Diplo were a romantic item for some time, and aired much of their nasty breakup publicly. Last March, M.I.A. told Rolling Stone that Diplo was a "controlling" and "jealous" boyfriend. Diplo responded on Twitter, denying much of her allegations.

But luckily, all of the resentment has cleared up and the duo appear to be back in the friend zone. Next up, check out M.I.A. in conversation with Fuse below.
