Gillian Flynn's Gone Girl novel features a classic monologue that states: "Cool Girls never get angry; they only smile in a chagrined, loving manner and let their men do whatever they want. Go ahead, shit on me, I don’t mind, I’m the Cool Girl." For Tove Lo's new video for her "Cool Girl" single, the singer completely owns that twisted mindset.

The first installment for Tove’s short film Fairy Dust Chapter 1 (directed by Tim Erem), the Swedish singer gets down and dirty as she grinds on a car top while making grimacing faces. Tove Lo becomes even more filthy during the video, when she shaves off her hair and stares at her former self inside a glass coffin in the middle of a desert.
