One of the most critically adored new shows of the fall is officially coming back for more: Donald Glover’s Atlanta has been renewed by FX, two weeks after its debut episode earned raves.

Meanwhile, another freshman FX comedy, Better Things, was also picked up for a second season. The Pamela Adlon-led show is executive produced by Louis C.K.

According to a press release, Atlanta scored “the most-watched basic cable primetime scripted comedy premiere in over three years in the key 18-49 demographic.” That’s a record with a ton of qualifiers, but clearly, the great reviews and Glover’s presence as the creator/star have attracted a wide audience in the most coveted demo.
