James Corden has always been a huge advocate for boy bands (remember that epic Carpool Karaoke with One Direction last year?), and the Late Late Show host continues to show his support. Last night, he decided to bring one of the OG boy bands to his show: Backstreet Boys.
"We are bringing back boy bands. I'm talking proper boy bands," Corden told his audience. "Five guys together—I'm talking about the cute one, the funny one, the nice one, the other one and the maverick who refused to play by the rules. All living together in some weird mansion in Orlando."
After explaining that he wanted "matching outfits, synchronized dancing and way over-budget music videos" from the classic '90s pop era, Howie, AJ, Kevin, Nick and Brian emerged from a cloud of smoke to perform their 1997 hit "Everybody (Backstreet's Back)." And of course Corden had to show off his boy band-worthy dance moves.
If you haven't heard the news, Backstreet Boys are definitely here to stay! In fact, they recently announced their upcoming Las Vegas residency. It begins March 1, 2017 at the AXIS at Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino.
