Watch Metallica's TV Debut of 'Moth Into Flame' on 'Fallon'

Very Long Song Metallica is usually the best Metallica, and Let the Band Play Their Very Long Song late night TV is always the best late night TV. So it was ultra rad when the august shred gods hit The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon on Thursday night, with the new song "Moth Into Flames" in tow. (They debuted it on Monday with a "Freak on a Leash"–esque music video.)

Also, Fallon's guest, Vice President Joe Biden, was INTO IT, HHHEY-YYYYUUUHHHH:

Lars, Kirk, James and Rob also rocked the hell out of "Hardwired" on Howard Stern this week:

'Tallica's first album in eight years, Hardwired…To Self-Destruct, is finally coming on Nov. 18. They announced it back in August with the lead single, "Hardwired." It'll mark their 10th studio album; their debut, Kill 'Em All, came out 33 years ago. We were worried for a minute there that this one was stuck in album hell, but it looks and sounds like it's made it out alive.
