The Weeknd has announced Starboy, the official follow-up to his 2015 breakthrough album Beauty Behind the Madness. The R&B star shared the title and official album artwork (courtesy of music video auteur Nabil) on Wednesday afternoon.
No release date yet for Starboy, or news of a lead single, but the timing of the reveal suggests a fall release. Beauty Behind the Madness was released in August 2015, and scored a GRAMMY nod for Album of the Year thanks in part to No. 1 hits like "Can't Feel My Face" and "The Hills."
The Weeknd (real name: Abel Tesfaye) has long been a prolific artist, dropping a trio of acclaimed mixtapes in 2011 and making his major-label debut with Kiss Land in 2013. Earlier this year he collaborated with Kanye West on The Life of Pablo's "FML."
