‘The Whole Truth’ Trailer: Keanu Reeves Defends Renée Zellweger’s Son

What if The Night Of was a movie instead of a TV show, and it starred Keanu Reeves as the back-against-the-wall defense attorney instead of John Turturro? That’s (sort of) the question the upcoming courtroom drama The Whole Truth is asking in its first trailer.

Reeves stars as Richard Ramsay, a lawyer sworn to defend the hapless Mike (Gabriel Basso) following the murder of his father and a full confession from the son. That’s the whole story! Or is it? Hints of abuse from the father and his mother’s complicated relationship with the homicide certainly seem to tangle with the heinous act.

Reeves will appear in this crackerjack flick ahead of next year’s action sequel John Wick: Chapter Two. Meanwhile, Zellweger currently stars in Bridget Jones’s Baby.

The Whole Truth will be in theaters and On Demand Oct. 21. Before then, flip through the biggest box office record breakers of the past decade.
