The Naked and Famous are set to drop their third studio album this month, and they're almost positive that fans will love it.
Chatting with Fuse at Austin City Limits Festival in an exclusive 360° video interview shot on the Samsung Gear 360 camera, the New Zealand-based musicians described Simple Forms as a very "immediate album" that listeners will connect with.
"The lyrical messages are right at the surface. It's a pop album," they explain.
Frontwoman Alisa Xayalith also discussed the challenges of recording the album after ending her relationship with bandmate Thom Powers. "Usually there is the sign for the end of the band, but that didn't happen to us. We worked through all of our baggage, and we came out better on the other side," she says.
