Drake dropped a few bombshells on his Apple Music OVO Sound radio show on Sunday, and that included unveiling some new tunes and teasing his upcoming More Life project.
For the record, More Life is not an album. It's, in fact, a "playlist project" that will include original music in playlist form. It will feature music from him and his OVO collaborators.
Here's what he said in the announcement:
“I’m off like mixtapes, I want to do a playlist. I want to give you a collection of songs that become the soundtrack to your life, so this is More Life: The Playlist. Like I said, dropping in December. All original music from me. You might hear some tunes from the family on there. Just really excited. I had a great tour, I had a great summer. And most people would like go probably take a break, but for me I just want to get right back to it. Be with the people again."
Boy Meets World Tour, coming up soon. UK, I’ll be there soon. Big up to UK massive. Everybody—Paris, Amsterdam, Sweden, anywhere we are touching down. But yeah, I just want to celebrate life. More life. That’s what we live by. That’s something we not take for granted.”
He also previewed four of the tracks, which have since been confiscated from clever rippers on YouTube. Two live on Spotify. They are "Two Birds One Stone," "Fake Love," "Sneakin" feat. 21 Savage and a remix to British rapper Dave's "Wanna Know."
"Two Birds One Stone" allegedly addresses Kid Cudi, who called out Drake about ghostwriting in a tweet last month: "My tweets apply to who they apply. Ye, Drake, whoever. These niggas dont give a fuck about me. And they aint fuckin with me." In Drake's new song, he raps, "You were the man on the moon / Now you just go through your phases/ Life of the angry and famous." Kid Cudi is currently working out depression and "suicidal urges" in rehab.
