YouTube Red Orders New Series from Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson

The world's highest-paid actor, Dwayne Johnson, has scored a deal with YouTube Red. According to TV Series Finale, YouTube announced it has ordered the new series, Lifeline, from Seven Bucks Productions, co-founded by Dwayne Johnson and Dany Garcia, and Studio71.

The news doesn't stop there. The eight-episode sci-fi action thriller will be directed by two of the Internet’s most ambitious science fiction and action filmmakers, Sam Gorski and Niko Pueringer of Corridor Digital. The series will focus on a little known life insurance company that sends its agents forward 33 days in time to prevent the accidental deaths of its clients and is slated to debut on YouTube Red in 2017.
