Happy #MoanaMondays from Disney. Today's celebration comes in the form of Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson performing "You're Welcome," one of the Moana songs written by Hamilton mastermind Lin-Manuel Miranda.
The snippet shows Maui's tattoos coming to life to act out the narrative ditty he sings to his new companion, Moana. It's clear the demigod's got a strong self-image. Once the chorus kicks in, it's a wonder to hear how damn good The Rock's singing voice sounds.
Johnson's been known to bust out his pipes here and there, especially in his WWE days:
The official trailer for Disney's Moana dropped in September; the movie hits theaters Nov. 23. Teenage newcomer Auli'i Cravalho voice-stars across from Johnson, and direction comes from Ron Clements and John Musker, whose formidable credits include Aladdin, The Little Mermaid and The Princess and the Frog.
