Update: Within hours of the internet's on-point furor, the site, Costumeish, has nixed the horribly conceived Kim Kardashian as Robbery Victim costume:
"If" it offended anyone. If!
Original story: Halloween costumes are among the best way to convey pure tastelessness, racism, cruelty and idiocy. A new candidate for 2016's frontrunner is a costume inspired by Kim Kardashian West being robbed at gunpoint in Paris. Because why not have some evil LOLz about a wife and mother of two (let alone a PERSON) having her life threatened over some jewelry? Tis the season, or whatever.
Did we mention the costume's called Parisian Heist Robbery Victim? It costs $70 on Costumeish and, as of this publication, is still very much available. The site's tone-deaf pitch goes like this:
"This Halloween it's all about the #Hallomeme and who better than America's goddess of all things glamorous 'Parisian Heist Robbery Victim Costume?' She has devoted her life to promoting American decadence, youth, and hedonism but all that flashy living caught up with her one night in Paris when armed men bound her, stole her jewelry and her peace of mind. This Halloween have some fun with pop culture and dress just like the Queen of Social media with our sensational 'Parisian Heist Robbery Victim Costume.'"
The costume comes with a "white short sexy robe," a wig, a ring, a gag and two feet of rope. If you're gonna be awful, go big or go home. (Just go home.)
